Atelier Ryza 3 Gathering Tool Guide

Atelier Ryza 3 Gathering Tool Guide

You’ll need to gather a lot of materials during your adventures in Atelier Ryza 3. This is where gathering tools come in, letting you get different materials from each type of gathering source you come across. In our Atelier Ryza 3 Gathering Tool Guide, we’ll go over how to get these tools and maximize the materials you get.

Atelier Ryza 3 Gathering Tool Crafting

All gathering tools in Atelier Ryza 3 — outside of your staff (the actual weapon you’re using doesn’t matter for gathering) and picking things up by hand — must be made via alchemy. You’ll be given the recipes for basic gathering tools alongside alchemy, so from there it’s merely a case of making them. Below, we’ll list the gathering tools you can make, along with the main required ingredients.

Ingredients listed in parentheses just require you to use a material of that specific category. Tools that require a recipe morph need you to use a specific item while crafting the previous tier of tool.

Gathering Tool Ranks in Atelier Ryza 3

Gathering nodes can contain up to 3 different materials, with each one requiring better and better tools. This is determined via the relevant trait for each specific tool (ie Fishing for the fishing rods and Crushing for the hammer), with better traits letting gather both higher-quality and higher rank materials.

Gathering Tool Traits

  • The base trait, such as “Crushing” or “Fishing” – Rank 1 materials.
  • Master – Slightly high-quality Rank 1 materials.
  • Able – Slightly high-quality Rank 2 materials.
  • Clean – High-quality Rank 2 materials.
  • Expert – High-quality Rank 3 materials.
  • Masterful – Very high-quality Rank 3 materials.

Of these traits, the base gathering tools can only reach a maximum of Proper. To get the traits for Rank 3 materials, you must make the second tier of tools.

How to Make Creaminea in Atelier Ryza 3

The Ravage Hammer requires Creaminea to be made, but this isn’t available by default in the synthesis list. To unlock the recipe, you must reach the right node in the skill tree. For Creaminea, this is in the north part of the skill tree, and will be revealed after unlocking the Max Quality 700 node.

How to Make Goldoterion in Atelier Ryza 3

Meanwhile, the Golden Ax requires Goldoterion, another item that isn’t available by default. This can be made by recipe morphing Creaminea using Goldnite. This can be found in the Nemed Region by hitting rocks with an axe—you’ll need a Woodcutter’s Ax capable of gathering Rank 2 materials first.
