Dying Light developer Techland has shared a new concept art of their new unannounced fantasy RPG. The new game is said to be a narrative-driven fantasy epic set in an exotic open world. Moreover, according to Techland, the game will be story-focused that will combine and refine the best gameplay aspects the studio is known for. The concept art for the new game was posted by the official Techland Twitter account.
Techland’s New Fantasy RPG
The concept art shown by Techland sees a person hanging off a large tree. They are also seeing various stone structures in the distance. Moreover, there is also a river flowing through what seems to be a small city in the distance. So, it seems there will be a few community players can freely explore. Knowing Techland, this fantasy RPG is bound to have parkour as it is what made the two Dying Light games immensely popular.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about Techland’s new project, but this is the first time the studio has shared crucial details of their new game. Back in 2022, Techland announced they are working on a new fantasy RPG. Seeing the financial success of Dying Light 2, they said that were ready to begin on this new adventure.
Moreover, the CEO of Techland, Paweł Marchewka also expressed hope for the new game when it was announced. ”Our ambition is to introduce a brand new IP that is vastly different from what we have been doing for the past several years”, he says. ”We want to create a fully next-gen experience. A new fantasy epic set in a sprawling open world, fueled by the skills and experience we have gained as a team over the years, infused with new ideas, passion, and creativity.”
In addition to this, Techland has also hired impressive developers from various studios. This includes talent from CD Projekt RED, Arkane Studio, and Guerilla Games. So, it seems that the Dying Light developer is going all in with their new fantasy RPG.
