How to get Link’s hair band in Tears of the Kingdom
Luckily, if you want this hairstyle again, you can find his Well-Worn Hair Band somewhere in the game. First, you’ll want to make it to Hateno Village. Remember Link’s house that you could build in Breath of the Wild? If you return to the same spot, your house is still intact. But now, it seems as though Zelda took over residence before her disappearance.
Check her diary by the bed, and keep going past a few pages. You’ll see that Zelda got Hudson to build a secret room for her. Due to needing a quieter place for working, there’s now a secret room somewhere on this property.
If you didn’t read our guide yet on where to find Zelda’s secret room, we’ll tell you here. This is because it has to do with the hair tie you’re looking for. Go to the backyard, and you should spot a well. Just like any well you find in Tears of the Kingdom, don’t forget to check inside. This time, you’ll find Zelda’s secret room below the well.
Zelda has another diary on her desk, which will lead you to start the quest called ‘A New Champion’s Tunic’. That quest will actually let you find an updated version of Link’s Champion’s Tunic. But if you open the chest beside her desk, inside is the Well-Worn Hair Band, safe and sound! Although it has no defense rating, now you know how to tie Link’s hair back into a ponytail in Tears of the Kingdom.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on the Nintendo Switch.
