Layers of Fear Remake System Requirements Officially Revealed

Layers of Fear 1 and 2 are being remade by Bloober Team in Unreal Engine 5, and it’s the “definitive” way to experience the franchise according to the developers. This remake also includes the DLC content and will have different adjustments to its gameplay, presentation, and progression. The footage revealed so far is a major step above the original releases, and that comes at a hefty hardware cost. Here are the official Layers of Fear Remake system requirements for PC.

We’re glad to see more developers mentioning the expected performance with each specification preset. If you’re looking to play the title at 1080p with 60 FPS in mind, you’ll need a Ryzen 5 3600 paired with a GTX 1070 with 8 GB of VRAM. If you’re looking to play with ray tracing though, you’ll need an RTX 2070 with 8 GB of VRAM with a CPU like the Ryzen 7 3700X.

Apart from that, you need only 20 GB of free space, and an M.2 SSD is recommended. 32 GB of RAM is recommended if you want to play the title at 4K resolution with ray tracing enabled, but below that you only need the standard 16 GB.
