Tea Naraka: Bladepoint NieR crossover officially lands in August, Naraka developer NetEase has announced. The crossover will include content from both NieR: Replicant and NieR: Automata and will be available in the free-to-play melee battle royale game on August 9th.
This crossover was originally announced in December last year, with a mysterious trailer teasing the content on offer (although stopping short of outright announcing it).
It seems that NetEase is in the habit of releasing short teasers, because another one has arrived, and just like the last one, it’s not particularly informative. You can take a look at it here, however.
The new trailer’s description points to some of the themes of the Deny series, reading “everything that lives is designed to end”. The trailer also concludes with “Glory is Ours”, which appears to be a nod to NieR: Automata‘s “Glory to Mankind”.
Just in case you need a refresher, here’s the original December 2022 trailer that announced the Naraka Nier crossover to begin with.
Unfortunately, neither trailer is particularly informative regarding what the crossover will actually entail; will it be outfits, characters, or something else entirely? NetEase is promising more details “soon”, so we’ll have to wait and see, it seems.
This is far from the first crossover Naraka: Bladepoint has been involved with. The game has also linked up with Soulslike hack-and-slash RPG Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty on two occasions, as well as teaming up with fighting community YouTuber Maximilian Dood.
Elsewhere in the world of Naraka: Bladepoint, the game is now also available on PS5, having launched for Sony’s current-gen console just yesterday. It’s free-to-play now, too, so you can check it out without paying a penny.
Naraka: Bladepoint is available to play for free on PC, Xbox consoles, and PlayStation 5. Stay tuned for more news about the upcoming Deny crossover.
