Remnant 2 Traits Guide | All Features

Our Remnant 2 Traits Guide will go over how Traits work, how to improve them, and where you can obtain each one during your adventures.

Traits act as complementary bonuses to your Archetypes, offering various bonuses once you spend Trait Points on them. Trait Points are earned from defeating bosses, or via Tomes of Knowledge scattered across each world — they’re noticeable from a distance by their blue glow.

Archetypes each come with a unique Archetype Trait, which you cannot spend Trait Points on. Instead, these improve as you level up their respective Archetype. Once the Archetype reaches level 10, you’ll be able to equip its Archetype Trait even when you’re using a different Archetype — you’ll have to spend Trait Points to improve it if you do so.

When you have 2 Archetypes equipped, the same still applies. You’ll get the benefits of both Archetype Traits, and can unlock them for use on all Archetypes once they reach level 10.

How to Reset Trait Points in Remnant 2

Made some poor choices with your Trait Points? Head to Wallace in Ward 13, the guy living up high away from the main part of the town. He’ll sell you Obs of Undoing, though each costs 3 Lumenite Crystals and a hefty 2,500 Scrap. Since Trait Points are fairly common, it’s best to hold off resetting these until you’re in the endgame.
